Childhood:
Shri Dattatreya was born to Shri Bandaru Anjaiah and Smt.Eswaramma on 12th
June 1946 at Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh). He was a keen learner at school and
showed dynamic leadership qualities form a young age. He was blessed with
soft spoken and compassionate nature which made him popular with people in a
short span of time. He participated in organising various cultural, social
and charitable activities since young age and grown as a leader by the day, leading
by example.
Although from modest background Shri Dattatreya was hard working and well
disciplined excelling in student life and public life. He is one of the very
few teetotaller leaders in today’s politics. He is well liked and respected
even by his political opponents. He completed B.Sc from Osmania University
and devoted his life to public service after that.
Personal Life:
Marrried to Smt. Vasantha on 17th May 1989, and has a Daughter and
Son. He is very close to his family woul love to spend time with them when
ever possible.

Bandaru Dattatreya, minister of
state (independent charge) for labour and employment said on Monday, state
governments are "important partners in the implementation of the
labour welfare measures." Dattatreya was speaking at the regional
labour ministers' conference for north central region at Lucknow on today.
Saying that the ministry of labour and employment is mandated to safeguard
the interest of working class while promoting a conducive working
environment for inclusive growth and industrial harmony, the minister said
the NDA government believed in cooperative federalism. He said,
"States play a pivotal role in the area of extending social security,
ensuring fair wages, skilling our work force and promoting Industrial
Safety and Health. The Agenda of the Regional Labour Ministers Meeting is
very timely and relevant in the Contemporary economic scenario."
On Monday, Dattatreya said that with India home to more than 65% are youth
in India, the creation of jobs and skill upgradation was now a primary
concern. With initiatives like Make in India, Skill India, Digital India,
Smart Cities Project, however, the Centre hoped to create millions of jobs,
he said. The minister also told his audiences that public employment
services are being transformed and strengthened through information
technology.
The Government is committed to inclusive growth. Unorganized workers and
vulnerable workforce are thepriorities. The government is working on the
"Universal Social Security Coverage to all". Pradhan Mantri Jan
Dhan Yojana(PMJDY), Atal Pension Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jivan Jyoti Bima
Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Yojana are some of the unique initiatives
especially aimed to cover vulnerable workers. Unorganized Workers Card will
be a platform to link all social security schemes for unorganized workers,
he added.
